Danny Pormes: ‘With Runnersworld we make the difference’

Collective purchasing is important here, as are the joint national marketing campaigns with which we further increase Runnersworld’s name recognition. Runnersworld is the national chain in the running field and with other providers we can really make a difference,” says Pormes, who sits on the board and formula team of Runnersworld. 

“The running market continues to evolve. That’s why the Runnersworld website is essential and the webshop is becoming increasingly important. But there is something with which we as a chain can distinguish ourselves even more emphatically and that is our expertise. Based on a video analysis of their running pattern, we can always offer customers the running shoe that suits them best. But we go further in our advisory role than most people know, for example when it comes to training, injury prevention or lifestyle modification. Customers with specialist questions can contact our cooperation partners: sports doctors, physiotherapists and podiatrists. Runnersworld is the number one running specialty store and we need to keep communicating that well.”
