“In addition to Intersport Roden, I have another winter sports specialty store, with which I am also affiliated with Euretco. Our purchasing for Intersport goes through Euretco and that is very pleasant and easy,” said Catrin Barth. “This way we are automatically assured of the best deals with the brand suppliers. And if we once have an item out of stock, we approach an Intersport colleague. We meet colleagues during regional meetings in each other’s stores, which certainly contributes to the ‘we-feeling’, and during Intersport’s entrepreneur days.”
“Working together with Intersport also means joining forces in marketing. We are large enough to operate nationwide and the name recognition of the formula is high. At the same time, some local fulfillment remains possible. One store will do more in soccer, the other in, say, running. As Intersport entrepreneurs, we are strong in personally advising our customers, something that many large chain companies do not get around to as much. We also distinguish ourselves as Intersport with the sports experience in our stores.
