A life in fashion
With an impressive 37 years of experience in the fashion industry, Dolimah de Best-Dumernit can rightly be called a seasoned fashion professional. Her career began at Inkoopcombinatie Nederland, after which she progressed at Obema. There, she already collaborated intensively with Cees de Best. In 1992, she joined his company, and in 2007, after Cees’s passing, she unhesitatingly took over the reins. Since then, she has led Cees de Best B.V. with heart and soul.
Cees de Best B.V.: a strong fashion agency
The successful women’s fashion agency in Lijnden has represented strong brands for years. Monari is Dolimah’s personal favorite. “We have been working together since 1994, and after all these years, it almost feels like family,” she says. New favorites are also planned for the future, though that remains a surprise for now.
Always in motion
What attracts Dolimah so much to fashion? Its dynamism. “The fashion world is always in motion, and I thrive on that,” she says. This energy is also reflected in how she leads her company: always open to new ideas and opportunities.
Proud of growth and collaboration
Looking back, Dolimah is particularly proud of the way of working that has developed recently. “We have elevated our service to a high level, expanded collaboration, and are open to different perspectives. As a result, we are still growing and have even been able to expand our team.”
Outlook: digitalization and connection
The coming years will be all about even more collaboration and support for partners. With Monari, a valuable new tool is now being added: the Monari Business App. This app offers direct support at the Point of Sale – from article content and VM guidelines to sending photos. “All tools align perfectly and connect the offline and online worlds. This truly adds value for our partners.”

The collaboration with EK Fashion also plays an important role. Dolimah speaks with great appreciation about the contact with Alm Wiggers. “Whether it’s about figures, partners, or collections: we can always brainstorm with Alm. We find that incredibly valuable.”
