Hausgeräte Huth kicks off with a new electroplus küchenplus store in the Hunsrück

Bielefeld/Kastellaun, December 17, 2025 – How can brick-and-mortar retail in rural areas be reimagined – modern, strong in brands, and close to customers at the same time? Hausgeräte Huth GmbH & Co. KG provides an answer with its new location. The family-owned company is moving from Hundheim (Hunsrück) to nearby Kastellaun and is relying on the electroplus küchenplus retail concept from the Bielefeld-based group EK Retail. This move demonstrates how tradition, digital visibility, and brand strength can be combined into a forward-looking overall concept.

When Reiner and Klaudia Huth founded their electrical retail business in 1994, their mission was clear: honest advice, professional expertise, and genuine service. These values continue to shape the company today and have been carried into the next generation by Simon and Aljoscha Huth.

Tradition meets future
With the establishment of Hausgeräte Huth GmbH & Co. KG and joining EK Retail in 2024, the family set the course for the future. Just a few months later, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new building in Kastellaun marked the start of a new chapter in the company’s history.

“We deliberately chose to partner with EK Retail and its electroplus and küchenplus concepts because we want to offer our customers more than just products,” explains Managing Director Aljoscha Huth. “It was particularly important for us to preserve our own identity as Huth. The electroplus küchenplus concept gives us the freedom to design our business individually – while benefiting from the advantages of a proven brand store concept,” adds Managing Director Simon Huth.

A store concept that connects
On 310 square meters of retail space for electrical appliances and a 65-square-meter kitchen showroom, technology and home comfort merge into a seamless shopping experience. The smooth transition between product ranges ensures that customers can draw inspiration and experience appliances directly in their application context. The home appliance assortment includes top brands such as Miele, Liebherr, Siemens, Constructa, AEG, Neff, Jura, Nivona, Samsung, and SEBO. In the kitchen segment, Huth relies on partners like Schüller, Bora, Blanco, Systemceram, Quooker, Berbel, and Naber.

Customer proximity remains a hallmark
The move from Hundheim to Kastellaun not only expands the space but also the vision. “Despite the change in location, we remain true to the principle that my father Reiner Huth established: closeness to the customer,” says Huth. “We want to create an environment where our customers feel comfortable and experience genuine advice – not an anonymous big-box store, but personal interaction on equal footing.”

The new store features a modern, welcoming window display, appliances ready to be tested, and an atmosphere that invites customers to linger. The concept is complemented by comprehensive services – from delivery and professional installation to an in-house customer service team that ensures quick assistance.

Strong partnership with electroplus küchenplus
Dirk Borutta, Regional Manager electroplus küchenplus, accompanied the project from the very beginning: “With Hausgeräte Huth, our network gains a partner that combines genuine customer proximity, high expertise, and innovative spirit. The new store in Kastellaun demonstrates how the electroplus küchenplus concept can connect regional roots with modern brand management.”

The decision for electroplus küchenplus was no coincidence at Huth:
What convinced them most were the strong brand positioning, innovative marketing and digital strategies, efficient purchasing with attractive conditions, and access to a competent dealer network offering extensive exchange and training opportunities.

“Our goal is to make brick-and-mortar retail fit for the future – with concepts that combine expertise, emotion, and profitability,” emphasizes Meike Ullrich, Senior Concept Manager electroplus. “Hausgeräte Huth impressively demonstrates how these building blocks can be combined into a holistic brand experience.”

Christian Claes, Senior Concept Manager küchenplus, also sees great potential: “The new kitchen showroom at Huth is a prime example of what we aim to achieve with küchenplus – inspiring spatial solutions that make modern kitchen worlds emotionally tangible.”

Team spirit and service quality as success factors
The family business’s recipe for success remains unchanged: competent, well-trained, and highly motivated employees who enjoy advising customers and stand out for their collegial behavior and positive attitude. “Our customers feel that genuine craftsmanship and honest advice matter to us,” stresses Aljoscha Huth. “We stand behind every product we sell.”

Festive grand opening in mid-December
For the grand opening on December 13, 2025, Hausgeräte Huth invited everyone to Kastellaun. Visitors could look forward to attractive opening offers, a big raffle, and culinary highlights – including homemade cake and coffee specialties from Jura, Nivona, and Miele fully automatic machines. It was a celebration for the whole family and a strong signal of genuine customer proximity in the Hunsrück.
